The Entrepreneurial Nation, an initiative by The UAE Ministry of Economy, is proud to announce a partnership with Emirates Global Aluminum, the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates outside oil and gas to bring an impact sustainability program for UAE-based enterprises.
About the Partner
EGA is the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates outside of oil and gas. EGA has played a major role in the industrialization and economic diversification of the UAE for decades and has contributed to economic diversification and growth for more than 40 years. EGA Ramp-Up is set to support entrepreneurs to develop businesses that are successful and benefit society. The ultimate goal is that some of these new companies become suppliers to EGA, as EGA aims to further localize its procurement.
About the Program
EGA Ramp-Up is an impact sustainability program that aims to foster the next generation of entrepreneurs, whose businesses will grow the economy and create opportunities for the community. An impact sustainability program, with business fundamentals training, to allow for the selected UAE start-ups to be sustainable and impactful in the long run.
Depending on the nature and interest of applicants, there are two programs.

Program I: Online Webinar Series
Open to anyone passionate about social and environmental impact and interested in learning more about impact entrepreneurship and turning a start-up into a successful force for good.
The sessions are tailored towards aspiring or recently-established entrepreneurs as well as corporate employees looking to learn more about this topic.
Program 2: In-depth Training
20 start-ups will be selected to participate in the second part of the program where applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Legally registered entity in the UAE
Contribute to at least one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Have at least a Minimum Viable Product and show some traction
Founders must be fluent in written and spoken English
Sector eligibility criteria:
The environment (recycling/aluminium recycling, GHG emissions, biodiversity, air quality waste management...)
Supply chain and logistics (simplified processes, warehousing operations, 3D printing consumables...)
Green IT (sustainable IT solutions, blockchain, robotics, AI...)
Human capital (talent identification, platforms to connect corporate with youth and consultants, diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing...)
Community Impact (a product or a service that supports youth development, education, and gender diversity...)
